Baby GIRL Reveal

Party of FIVE!

SURPRISE - we are welcoming a little girl into the Knepper Nest come February!

We were thrilled to learn our family was growing this past Father’s Day! As I have done with both of the boys, I put the positive pregnancy test in a small brown gift bag and handed it to Kris as he laid down on the couch for a Father’s Day nap. Instead, his nap was replaced by online shopping for a new family car with a third row to accommodate our growing family. Such a man response to the news.

Because I’m a planner and lack patience, I opted to get early Sneak Peak DNA gender testing at Prenatal Miracles in my 9th week.

  • You can get tested as early as 7 weeks with 99.9% accuracy.

  • It is as simple as taking blood and waiting 3-7 days for results with either a standard or fast track option.

  • A pregnant woman’s blood carries DNA from their unborn child. The test looks for Y (male) chromosomes. If Y chromosomes are found, that means baby is a boy. If none are found, baby is a girl.

  • If you don’t mind taking your own blood in the comfort of your own home (no thanks), you can purchase a Sneak Peek at home kit too.

In my 14th week, I asked our family to meet us on the beach to help reveal the gender of the baby to the boys by way of a smoke bomb. I’m a steel vault when keeping other people’s secrets but never my own, so I had already told most of our family. This moment was created to fuel the boys excitement and we took advantage of having everyone together, snapping some new family photos on the sand with my girl, Skylar Wyatt Photography. Here are a few of my favorites from the reveal - family photos to follow!
