Our sweet visit with Santa while the full magic is alive!
Last weekend, we took our three kids to visit Santa, a beloved tradition that never fails to deliver a little chaos and a lot of magic. My oldest two were thrilled, rehearsing their wish lists on the drive there and eagerly greeted Santa upon arrival. But my two-year-old? Let’s just say she did not match their enthusiasm.
As soon as we approached Santa she clung to me like a koala. It was one of those classic toddler moments that every parent dreads but also secretly finds adorable.
Santa, with a twinkle in his eye, reached for a candy cane and offered it to her. At first, she looked at him suspiciously but promise of peppermint won her over. While she did not make it on the big guys lap this year, tightly clutching her sweet treat, we did manage to peel her off of me for a few photos next to him.
By the end of our visit, she was giving Santa high-fives and waving goodbye. Once in the car she said Santa was a ‘good guy’ and assured me she would sit on his lap next year.
This season, I’m treasuring these fleeting moments of childhood wonder and praying we have more years of full magic ahead, when all three of our babies believe.
A big thank you to my gal pal Skylar for capturing these special holiday moments and Jamie Leigh Events for setting up such a dreamy event for the kids to enjoy at Denali Jean Ranch.
I took a little walk down memory lane and found some gems of my kids with Santa over the years!
