A stroll with my favorite people.
It is that time of year again when I drag the family out of the house for family photos and bribe my kids for smiles (lollipops were the currency this shoot)! As you will see below, Nathan has recently adopted a new 'rage smile' where he squints his eyes, crinkles his noes and screams 'CHEEEEEESE'! Whatever, as long as he looks at the dang camera!
Somehow Melissa Kay Photography + Design, always manages to get everyone smiling at the lens but also captures some of the sweetest candid moments.
We shot at the bay behind our old condo where we lived before kids, the same patch of sand where we had our engagement photos taken 11 years ago. Wild how time flies! There were so many to choose from, but here are some of my favorites.

Quick Tips:
I like to shoot in the spring before it is too dang hot, but because this is normally before I have been kissed by the sun, I apply at self tanner. I have tried a lot over the years but this year I found a winner in the St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse. It goes on with a applicator mitt without streaking and looks really natural and fades nicely. It has a slight smell but nothing offensive like some of the tanners I have used in the past. Also it develops pretty quickly and builds overnight and with additional applications. Happy bronzing!
